Hi. My name is Josh, and I am Dora’s brother. I have been mentioned in a few posts, such as the Osaka post (That was my birthday in Osaka!). I feel inclined to rating hotels, so I started a hotels section on Dora’s blog! On every post about a hotel you will see the hotel name, the hotel group (if applicable), the city, and a rating out of 5.0. To see other posts of mine, click categories, go down to “hotels” and click, and look at my other posts!
Aparthotel Adagio, Brussels. What a place. We landed at 10:30am and took the subway to the Grand Place (most beautiful square in Europe) and walked a bit. We finally arrived. The Aparthotel Adagio.
The first thing to understand is that the Aparthotel adagio is different from the Aparthotel b. Aparthotel B is slightly closer to the Grand Place then Aparthotel adagio. We made a mistake and went to Aparthotel B. When we finally arrived at our hotel we were not able to check in. It was too early. We went out and did some stuff (see Dora’s blog) and came back to check in. The elevator is floor numbered -1 0 2 3 5 6 7. We were on the “7th” floor. We got to our room… and were pleased.
The main sleeping room had 2 twin beds which we pushed together for my parents. There was a fully equipped kitchen, too. The common space had a
pull out couch, a chair, and a door to a spacious balcony. This balcony had stellar views of “tour de france village” (we visited during the tour de france). All this is good.
The downers: it was noisy. Loud music from the street below. I fell asleep listening to Sweet But Psycho. Moldy-ish shower. As you can see. The shower was also weird because only half had a door. But the bathrooms were nice and modern all in all.
After all that I would give this hotel a 2.0. But to make this an “amazing” 3.5 is the hotel has a good location and front desk. The location is stellar. Across from the hotel is a row of restaurants and in about 5 min walk you reach the Grand Place. Also, there is a metro station on the corner and Brussels Central station is a short walk away. I cannot stress how amazing the front desk is. If there is something we need from them they did it really quick.
Always remember that a human always exaggerates. The dictionary changed the definition of literally to both literally and figuratively. The spot of mold is little. I liked this place. I would rather stay somewhere else if I came back to Brussels.
