When we first started Norway in a Nutshell, a guided tour through the fjords in Norway, I was a bit overwhelmed. Two trains, a ferry, and a bus? All it took was one glance out the train window, and I knew I would enjoy every second.
After a two-day travel shlep to Oslo, we were ready to take in the sights, smells, and food of our first Norweigan city!
At about 10 PM, we boarded our train. We were ready for a two-night travel trip (the first night on this overnight train) that would surpass expectations.

When we got off the boat, we were ready to explore Helsinki, which ended up being my favorite stop on the trip so far.
Getting to Helsinki can be a normal train ride or airplane flight… or you can take the overnight cruise!
